Katie Couric calls mommy bloggers “one of the most politically active groups online.” Because of the power they have influencing the buying decisions in the home, stay-home moms are also gaining attention as a major ally in a company’s online marketing campaign.
If our moms can make blogging work for them, then we can too, right?
For those of us new to blogging, I recently gave a speech at my local Toastmasters group on that very topic. Sorry for my nervousness on camera. I was trying to cut out some different points in order to keep the speech under 7 minutes. The key steps being:
- Get READY by overcoming the mental hurdle that blogging is a waste of time.
- Get your blog SET up using a web designer and creating it with wordpress.org
- Try to add to your BLOG 1-3 times a week.
